American Cancer Society Award
Last year, Holland Heating and Cooling was a Flagship Sponsor for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Flint, Michigan. As a business, we wanted to be there to support everyone who has or will be affected by breast cancer.
We wanted to donate and show our support to help survivors, patients, caregivers, family members, and the people who were saved by early detection.
We transformed one of our service trucks to support the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. If someone requested the pink service truck at the time they made their service appointment, we donated $10 to the American Cancer Society to help the fight against breast cancer. We donated over $15,000 to the American Cancer Society in 2015.
Making Strides and The American Cancer Society have made it their mission to make this breast cancer’s last century. The Making Strides Flint event raised over $330,000 for The American Cancer Society and had over 4,000 registered walkers! Making Strides Flint was the 3rd highest in raising money out of American Cancer Society’s locations in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. The Making Strides Flint walk celebrated survivors and share hope. We love being involved with the community and connect with others. This event does just that, it unites a community.
On Wednesday night, we attended the 2015 Making Strides Flint Awards Ceremony. The event was at the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute to recognize sponsors, pacesetters, and top fundraising teams from the community.
We are so thankful to be apart of Making Strides Flint and to do our part to help win the fight against breast cancer. It was an honor to be involved with such a groundbreaking and passionate organization. We want to take the time to thank everyone who makes Making Strides Flint the wonderful event that it is. Your dedication and compassion is unlike any organization that we’ve worked with before. Thank you for making Making Strides possible!
