Now Collecting Tennis Shoes and Sweatshirts

Holland Heating and Cooling and Hello Gorgeous Salon are now collecting tennis shoes and sweatshirts for Flint’s Eastside Mission.

Items can be new, nearly new, or gently used condition.

The items will be used for Flint’s Eastside Mission’s Back-To-School-Bash. The Back-To-School-Bash is Sunday, August 28th from 3:00 to 5:00pm at Flint’s Eastside Mission located at:

1829 Delaware Ave

Flint, MI 48506

 The Back-To-School-Bash at Flint’s Eastside Mission offers food, fun, and games with available school supplies and backpacks for children. Flint’s Eastside Mission provides clothes, food, haircuts, and medical services. In addition to the items needed for the Back-To-School-Bash, the mission accepts these donations:

  • Food

  • Clothing for all ages

  • Paper products

  • Personal hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, etc.)

  • Feminine hygiene items

  • Small appliances

  • Baby items

  • Diapers

  • Formula

  • Baby food

  • Baby clothing

  • Shoes

  • Venison (must be processed and packaged)

  • Cash (The Eastside Mission purchases food from the Eastern Michigan Food Bank for 18 cents a pound and is one of the Food Bank’s largest customers)

Holland Heating and Cooling and Hello Gorgeous Salon in Davison have set a goal of collecting 100 of each item needed for the Back-To-School-Bash.

Tennis shoes and sweatshirts can be dropped off to either Holland Heating and Cooling or Hello Gorgeous Salon located at:

9160 Lapeer Road

Davison, MI 48423

Hours available for drop off are Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

We will be collecting the items until the day before the Back-To-School-Bash. If your family or friends have clothing items that could be given to a child in need we would appreciate the donation for the Flint Eastside Mission. Help us meet our goal to help children in our community that are in need of clothing for school.
